La Villa Alta Badia

La Villa Alta Badia (German: Stern, Ladin La Ila) is the mountain resort where the famous “Gran Risa” ski competition takes place every year in December. This ski race is one of the most fascinating in the Ski World Cup. After the race, you can maybe see your favourite athletes strolling along the La Villa streets. You can find many hotels in the Dolomites directly on the ski runs; a famous ski field is the “Gardenaccia”. Hikers can also choose La Villa Alta Badia as holidays destination, as here it’s possible to reach the following valleys easily: Val Gardena (German Grödental, Ladin Gherdëina), Val Pusteria (German: Pustertal, Ladin Val de Puster), Val di Fassa (German: Fassatal, Ladin Val de Fascia) or the famous Cortina d’Ampezzo mountain resort.
